František Plesnivý (born April 4, 1845 in Unhošť , † August 9, 1918 in Hradec Králové ) was a Bohemian architect.

Plesnivý was known for its early Art Nouveau architecture and later utility designs . The numerous buildings he has designed include Ettrich's Villa ( Ettrichova vila ) in Jaroměř (now the Czech Republic ), which was also seen in Jan Hřebejk's film We Must Hold Together (2000) and was regularly seen by admirers in the late 19th century how Emperor Franz Joseph I was visited.

In 1897 František Plesnivý designed and constructed a villa for his family in Hradec Králové, which he named Villa Gabriela after his wife . In the early 20th century, Plesnivý also planned churches, factories and public facilities such as water towers and supervised their construction.

Plesnivý died on August 9, 1918 at the age of 73 in the Villa Gabriela in Hradec Králové.

Awards

In 1898, Plesnivý was awarded the Silver Medal of the City of Prague at the Architecture and Engineering Exhibition .
