Franz Adler (politician)

Franz Adler (* around 1814 ; † July 2, 1884 in Plohn ) was a German manor owner and conservative politician .

Live and act

The son of the landowner Gottlob Friedrich Adler owned the manors Obergöltzsch and Plohn upper share, which included 395 hectares of land. He exercised the office of justice of the peace. From 1863 to 1869 he was a representative of the manor owners of the Vogtland district in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament , after the electoral reform of 1868 he represented the 41st rural constituency from 1869 to 1877.

He was also a member of the administrative board of the Agricultural Credit Association in the Kingdom of Saxony from 1865 until his death and was an elected member of the state culture council from 1878 to 1883.

Adler was an Evangelical Lutheran and donated money to build and furnish the church in Plohn, which was consecrated in 1861.
