Meilė Lukšienė
Meilutė Julija Lukšienė-Matjošaitytė (born August 20, 1913 in Vienna , Austria ; † October 16, 2009 in Vilnius , Lithuania ) was a Lithuanian literary scholar and educational historian, professor at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas .
Life
From 1924 to 1931 she studied at the Vytautas Grammar School in Vilnius and from 1931 to 1938 she studied Liturgy at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas . In 1973 she received her doctorate in education . From 1951 to 1958 she was head of the Chair of Lithuanian Literature at Vilnius University and from 1959 to 1997 research assistant at the Institute of Pedagogy.
