Franz Albert von Planta-Zuoz

Albert von Planta-Zuoz (born January 19, 1838 in Dusch ; † November 28, 1908 in Milan ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and politician .

family

Albert von Planta came from the Bündner ministerial family von Planta . His father Albert Dietgen von Planta was a representative of the Engadin Council and a farmer in Dusch; his mother was Marie, b. Conrad von Baldenstein.

Life

After attending the canton school and grammar school in Chur , he studied law at the universities of Munich and Zurich from 1858 . In Munich he was a member of the Corps Franconia . In 1862 he broke off his studies in order to take over the administration of the Schloss Schauenstein in Fürstenau GR for his brother Peter Conradin von Planta, who worked as a businessman. In the Swiss military, Planta held the rank of chief of staff. He was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Graubünden and district president of the Domlechg district . In 1876 he settled in Milan as a merchant.
