Franz Amecke
Franz Amecke (born August 25, 1861 in Büderich near Werl , † February 18, 1933 in Balve ) was a German pastor in Balve.
Life
Franz Amecke was ordained a priest in 1887 . He was pastor in Balve from 1908 to 1933, and from 1925 he was dean of the Menden deanery .
Under his aegis, the Balver parish church was expanded and the St. Marienhospital was built in Balve. The planning of both buildings went back to his predecessor, Pastor Albert Schneider, who was born in Elspe .
Franz Amecke was made an honorary citizen of Balver in 1930. He was buried from outside under the church, as it was forbidden to bury in the church since 1800.
