Franz Blabolil

Franz Blabolil (born October 17, 1920 in Stockerau , † September 16, 1992 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and union secretary. From 1964 to 1979 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Blabolil completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter after primary and secondary school and did military service from 1940 to 1945. In 1957 he became state secretary of the metalworkers' union and served as vice-president of the Lower Austria Chamber of Labor between 1964 and 1970. Politically, Blabolil was active as a city councilor from 1950, in 1967 he was promoted to 3rd vice mayor, and from 1970 to 1979 he held the office of mayor of Stockerau. He represented the SPÖ from December 3, 1964 to April 19, 1979 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
