Franz Christian von Borries

Franz Christian von Borries (born July 25, 1723 in Rahden , † 1795 in Leopoldshöhe ) was a German nobleman and privy councilor at Gut Eckendorf in the county of Lippe .

Life

Franz Christian von Borries was a son of the married couple Christian Ludewig Borries and his wife Agnes Anna Elisabeth, geb. Stuven. The family belonged to the Rahden branch of the Borries family , which had only received the title of nobility in 1777. During the Seven Years' War, the Secret Council Franz Christian Borries was the English representative for handling the forage deliveries to the Allied armies in Germany. He acquired the Eckendorf, Ulenburg , Beck , Hovedissen , Schuckenmühle, Gohfeld, Milse and Steinlacke estates .

His marriage to Friederike Wilhelmine Schrader remained childless. The branches from Borries to Eckendorf and from Borries to Steinlacke received the goods. Franz Christian von Borries had 3 brothers, Johann Christian Ludewig (* June 12, 1722), Johann Christian (* June 23, 1725) and Christian Ludewig (* February 25, 1731).
