Franz Ebner

Franz Ebner (born February 24, 1869 , † May 14, 1923 ) was a German lawyer and Bavarian homeland researcher .

Franz Ebner worked for many years at the Straubing Regional Court , in 1903 he became third public prosecutor there, 1902 second public prosecutor, 1909 regional judge, 1918 higher regional judge. From 1920 until his death he was the first public prosecutor in Schweinfurt . In Straubing he dealt with the city's history and carried out excavations in Roman Straubing ( Sorviodurum ). In 1898 he was one of the co-founders and from 1909 to 1920 chairman of the Historical Association for Straubing. On May 3, 1918, he was made an honorary citizen of Straubing for his research on urban history .
