Franz Fekete

Franz Fekete (born September 21, 1921 , † February 20, 2009 ) was an Austrian SPÖ local politician.

Life

Franz Fekete was known as long-term mayor in his home town of Kapfenberg in Styria from 1967 to 1987. He had his greatest success in the municipal council election in 1980, where he was nicknamed Mister 83% .

Appreciation

The Franz Fekete Stadium , home of Kapfenberger SV , has been named after Fekete, who was also an honorary citizen of the city, since his 80th birthday in 2001 .

He also received the Ring of Honor of the State of Styria .
