Franz Frombach

Franz Frombach (born November 4, 1929 in Giarmata , Kingdom of Romania , † April 19, 1999 in Bexbach ) was a Romanian-German dialect author .

Life

Franz Frombach belonged to the German minority in Romania . After elementary school he attended the Banatia in Timișoara from 1941 to 1944 . From 1946 to 1950 he trained as an electrician . In 1974 he moved to the Federal Republic of Germany and lived there in a district of Bexbach . He was committed to maintaining the culture and language of the Banat Swabians and published, among other things, poems in Banat Swabian dialect .
