Franz Goldau

Franz Goldau (born March 21, 1887 in Thegsten , Heilsberg district , † after 1932) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DNVP , CNBL ).

Life

Goldau attended elementary school, high school and the agricultural winter school. He then worked in his father's economy. After his military service he worked as an agricultural officer. In May 1911 he bought a medium-sized Schulzengut in Schönwiese near Guttstadt . From 1914 to autumn 1917, he took part in the First World War as a soldier .

Goldau was active in economic policy in the Warmian Farmers' Association from 1918, initially being its chairman in the Heilsberg district and was elected chairman in 1932. He joined the German National People's Party (DNVP) and was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of East Prussia from 1925 to 1929 . In May 1928 he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament. A year later he resigned from the DNVP, having previously voted against the Prussian Concordat. He had been a non-attached member of parliament since July 9, 1929 and, after joining the Christian National Peasant and Rural People's Party (CNBL) from October 1, 1929 until he left the state parliament in 1932, a member of the German parliamentary group . In parliament he represented constituency 1 (East Prussia).
