Franz Grandl

Franz Grandl (born March 21, 1954 in Kleindurlas , Michelbach municipality ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). Grandl was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 2003 to 2013 .

Life

Grandl completed compulsory school and then attended the vocational and technical school for agriculture and forestry. He works as a farmer and forester in Michelbach. Grandl was elected to the municipal council in 1988 and in 1990 took over the role of executive councilor. In 1990 he was also elected to the Chamber Council of the St. Pölten District Chamber of Farmers. In 1994 he took over the office of mayor, which he held until 2010. As a further function, Grandl has held the position of chief district farmer council chairman since 2006 and has been district party chairman of the ÖVP St. Pölten since 2008. Grandl represented the ÖVP between April 24, 2003 and April 24, 2013 in the Lower Austrian state parliament, although he did not run for the 2013 state election.
