Franz Hörzing

Franz Hörzing (also Franz Jakob Hörzing ; * 1913 in Wels ; † December 5, 2010 there ) was an Austrian architect , painter , poet and musician .

Live and act

After the death of his father, Franz Hörzing took over his parents' construction company early on, which he sold in 1977. He was also a freelance architect in Wels. He was also artistically active as a painter and draftsman; his teacher was Karl Görlich . He also wrote and published poetry.

Hörzing was a passionate violinist and trumpeter and founded a jazz band in Wels in the 1950s, which performed in front of US soldiers, among others. Personalities such as Peter Alexander , Vico Torriani and Caterina Valente were also guests in Hörzing's house .

Hörzing was buried at the Wels cemetery.
