Franz Hartl (politician, 1901)

Franz Hartl (born October 15, 1901 as Franz Rammerstorfer in Sankt Gotthard im Mühlkreis , † November 15, 1970 in Linz ) was an Austrian community worker and politician ( ÖVP ). From 1955 to 1961 he was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag . In addition, he was state fire brigade commander of Upper Austria.

Life

Franz Hartl lost both parents as a child and was adopted by a general store in Gramastetten . After attending compulsory school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship. From 1924 until his retirement he was community secretary in Gramastetten.

Hartl was a member of the Gramastetten fire brigade as a teenager. There he was initially secretary; at the age of 30 he became the fire chief. In 1933 he became district chairman of the fire services in the Ottensheim judicial district . From 1934 to 1938 Hartl was the district fire brigade leader of Urfahr, and in 1938 also the district association chairman. From 1950 Hartl was state fire brigade commander of Upper Austria , after having been its deputy for two years. In this role he played a key role in the reconstruction and modernization of the fire services in Upper Austria. In 1954, Hartl also became Vice President of the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association.

Hartl was married and had four children.

politics

Between 1945 and 1955 Hartl was a member of the civil administration in Mühlviertel , where he headed the road construction and fire extinguishing departments. In 1955 he was elected to the Upper Austrian Landtag, to which he was a member until 1961.
