The judicial district Ottensheim was the District Court Ottensheim under standing judicial district in the political district Urfahr environment (federal state Upper Austria ). Ottensheim was dissolved as a judicial district in 1958 and combined with the Urfahr judicial district to form the Urfahr-Umgebung judicial district .

history

The judicial district of Ottensheim was created on July 4, 1850 together with 46 other judicial districts in Upper Austria by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz. It originally comprised the 20 tax communities Bergheim , Bogendorf , Eidenberg , Eidendorf , Feldkirchen , Feldsdorf , Freudenstein , Geng , Goldwörth , Gramastetten , Lacken , Landshaag , Lindham , Mühldorf , Mühllacken , Niederottensheim , Oberottensheim , Puchenau , Sankt Gotthard and Walding .

The judicial district formed political from judicial administration from 1868 together with the course of the separation jurisdictions Linz , Urfahr , Enns and St. Florian the District Linz .

In 1903, the Ottensheim judicial district was separated from the Linz-Umgebung district and, together with the Urfahr judicial district and the Leonfelden judicial district ceded by the Freistadt district, assigned to the newly formed Urfahr district, with the district administration taking up its work on October 1, 1903. After the National Socialists came to power, the Urfahr-Umgebung district was dissolved and the Ottensheim judicial district joined the newly formed Linz administrative district (later the Linz district ).

The judicial district Ottensheim was dissolved after the Second World War in 1958, as were the judicial districts Urfahr and Sankt Florian. The Urfahr-Umgebung judicial district subsequently replaced the Urfahr and Ottensheim judicial districts. The municipalities of today's court district were assigned to this by ordinance in 1958. Since then, the court district has encompassed the area of ​​the former judicial districts of Urfahr (excluding St. Magdalena, which was incorporated into Linz in 1938 ) and Ottensheim.

In 1960, the Urfahr-Umgebung district was re-established from the Urfahr-Umgebung judicial district and the Leonfelden judicial district.

Before its dissolution, the Ottensheim judicial district comprised the communities of Eidenberg , Feldkirchen an der Donau , Goldwörth , Gramastetten , Herzogsdorf , Ottensheim , Puchenau , Sankt Gotthard im Mühlkreis and Walding .
