The judicial district of Schärding is an under-standing the District Court Schärding jurisdiction in the political Schärding (federal state Upper Austria ). Since the dissolution of the Engelhartszell and Raab judicial districts, the Schärding judicial district has included the entire political district of Schärding.

history

The judicial district goes back to the former Bavarian district court Schärding, which was subordinate to the Duchy of Bavaria . In the course of the War of the Bavarian Succession , Bavaria had to cede the Innviertel to Austria through the Treaty of Teschen in 1779 . The area subsequently became part of Austria ob der Enns .

Originally only the municipalities of Brunnenthal , Eggerding , Freinberg , Mayrhof , Münzkirchen , Rainbach im Innkreis , St. Florian am Inn , St. Marienkirchen bei Schärding , Schardenberg , Schärding , Suben , Taufkirchen an der Pram and Wernstein am Inn were subordinate to the district court .

With the District Court Ordinance of the Austrian Federal Government on November 12, 2002, it was decided to dissolve the Engelhartszell and Raab district courts and to assign their areas to the Schärding judicial district. The ordinance came into force on January 1, 2003. Since 2003, the Schärding judicial district has therefore included the entire political district of Schärding, with the 2003 judicial district comprising the communities Engelhartszell , Esternberg , Kopfing im Innkreis , Sankt Aegidi , Sankt Roman , Vichtenstein and Waldkirchen am Wesen from the Engelhartszell judicial district and the communities Altschwendt , Andorf , Diersbach , Dorf an der Pram , Enzenkirchen , Raab , Riedau , Sankt Willibald , Sigharting and Zell an der Pram took over from the judicial district of Raab.

Before the merger, 27,250 people lived in the Schärding judicial district in 2001; in 2010 there were 56,517 residents with main residence.
