Blazon : Divided diagonally to the left by red and silver in the curve section; above a silver, growing abbot's staff, below a red wolf's body. The community colors are green-white-red.

The municipal coat of arms was awarded in 1994 by the Upper Austrian provincial government. The abbot stands for St. Aegidius , the parish patron and namesake of the place, but it also reminds of the church affiliation to Engelszell Abbey, which existed until 1788 . The Passau wolf symbolizes the former manorial rule of the Passau Monastery , which is still reminiscent of the boundary stones with its coat of arms.
