The judicial district of Haslach was established together with 46 other judicial districts in Upper Austria by a decree of the k. k. Higher Regional Court Linz created on July 4th 1850 and originally comprised the ten tax communities Afiesl , Ahorn , Haslach , Helfenberg , Lichtenau , Sankt Oswald , Schönegg , Spannfeld , Sankt Stephan and Unterriedl .
