history

The judicial district Waizenkirchen was created together with 46 other judicial districts in Upper Austria by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4, 1850 and originally comprised the 15 tax communities Dachsberg , Fürneredt , Gallham , Grub , Haus , Königsdorf , Lengau , Manzing , Michaelnbach , Pernau , St. Agatha , Sankt Marien , St. Thomas , Waizenkirchen and willow wood .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868 onwards, the judicial district together with the judicial districts of Wels, Eferding, Grieskirchen and Lambach formed the district of Wels .

In 1882 the local community of Heiligenberg was formed from parts of the communities Waizenkirchen, Eschenau and Bruck-Waasen , which was also subordinated to the judicial district of Waizenkirchen. For this purpose, the judicial district of Peuerbach had to cede parts of the communities Eschenau and Bruck-Waasen to the judicial district of Waizenkirchen.

In 1907 the district of Eferding was formed from the judicial district of Waizenkirchen together with the judicial district of Eferding, with the district administration taking up its work on August 12, 1907. However, the judicial district of Waizenkirchen was dissolved again in 1923, with only seven of the formerly 15 or 16 communities remaining after various amalgamations of communities. In the course of the dissolution of the judicial district Waizenkirchen, the communities of Prambachkirchen and St. Marienkirchen an der Polsenz were added to the judicial district of Eferding, the communities of Michaelnbach and St. Thomas to the judicial district of Grieskirchen and the communities of Heiligenberg , St. Agatha and Waizenkirchen to the judicial district of Peuerbach. At the same time, the communities assigned to the judicial districts of Grieskirchen and Peuerbach were also removed from the district of Eferding and assigned to the district of Grieskirchen .
