The judicial district Mondsee ( Mondseeland ) was a judicial district subordinate to the district court Mondsee in the political district Vöcklabruck (federal state Upper Austria ). On July 1, 2013, the judicial district was dissolved and the area was assigned to the judicial district of Vöcklabruck .

history

The judicial district of Mondsee was created by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4th 1850 and originally comprised the twelve tax communities Au , Hof , Innerschwand , Laiter , Mondsee , Oberaschau , Oberwang , Rabenschwand , Sankt Lorenz , Tiefgraben , Unterach and Zell am Moos , the district court was originally subordinate to the Salzburg regional court.

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district together with the judicial districts Frankenmarkt , Schwanenstadt and Vöcklabruck formed the political district Vöcklabruck . Through the amalgamation of parishes, the number of parishes was gradually reduced to eight parishes.

The discussion about the closure of district courts and the dissolution of district courts, which began in the context of the administrative reform and budget savings in 2011/12, ultimately led to the decision to dissolve the judicial district of Mondsee, as the competent district court only had one judicial position. The dissolution of the judicial district of Mondsee was finally decreed in June 2012 and became officially effective on July 1, 2013.

Courthouse

The court district comprised the eight communities of Innerschwand am Mondsee , Mondsee , Oberhofen am Irrsee , Oberwang , Sankt Lorenz , Tiefgraben , Unterach am Attersee and Zell am Moos, the south-western part of the political district of Vöcklabruck.
