Mondseeland

As Mondseeland the area is between and around Irrsee and Mondsee referred. The main town of the Mondsee region is the Mondsee market - the Mondsee region is the old property of the former Benedictine monastery Mondsee and is characterized by its own history. It has only been part of the Salzkammergut since the beginning of the 20th century.

Unterach is involved in the LEADER regional development association, but is not part of the tourism association, it is involved in the Attersee holiday region . The region corresponds to the former judicial district of Mondsee .

The Mondsee Beautification and Sociability Association was founded as early as 1874 . In 1926/27, after the collapse of tourism after the World War and the Great Depression , a new tourism association for the Attersee and Mondsee area took place . In 1995/96 the association for regional development Mondseeland was founded, in 2004 the multi-municipality tourism association , the tourism region MondSeeLand, Mondsee-Irrsee was established .
