Franz Hawlik
Franz Hawlik , pseudonym Theodor Waldbach , (born May 4, 1858 in Opava , † early 1914 in Marburg an der Drau , Austria-Hungary ) was an Austrian balneologist , writer and bookseller.
Life
Franu Hawlik grew up in the Moravian - Silesian city of Opava, where he also attended school. After contact with Heinrich Mattoni he became administrator of the at Eger located Bohemian spa town Gießhübl-Puchstein in Carlsbad , where he worked as Balneologe including.
In 1897 Franz Hawlik moved to Johannisbrunn as spa director . In 1903 he went to the capital Vienna, where he worked as a freelance editor for a year before taking over a bookstore in the city of Leibnitz in Styria in 1904 . Here he also worked as publisher and editor of the Alpenländische Verkehrs-Zeitung . This newspaper was temporarily accompanied by the practical information for trade and commerce, agriculture and housekeeping .
In 1908 Franz Hawlik moved to Marburg an der Drau, where he lived as a retired spa director until his death , which overtook him before the outbreak of the First World War.
