Franz Hoischen

Franz Hoischen (* 1903 ; † July 13, 1969 ) was a German painter , graphic artist and art teacher .

Life

Franz Hoischen worked as an art teacher at the Friedrich-Spee-Gymnasium Rüthen in addition to his artistic work . His supervisor, headmaster Hans Cramer, sums it up: "His own artistic work, of high, recognized rank, he let resign, which some friends regretted, because he felt first and foremost an obligation to us, our school."

Work and style

Franz Hoischen is particularly known for his still lifes , which convey the impression of exuberant abundance in a context of serious measure. Realistic and impressionistic elements combine in Hoischen to occasionally seemingly surreal arrangements.
