Franz Josef Fieger

Franz Josef Fieger (born April 8, 1921 in Lechenich ) is a German businessman.

Life

Franz Josef Fieger was the son from the marriage of the doctor Josef Fieger and Anna geb. Rossler. He attended school in St. Wolfgang and graduated from the higher technical college for textile retail.

He works as an entrepreneur with Franz Josef Fieger KG in asset management. He also manages his parents' Dr. Josef Fieger Foundation . In 1958 he became Honorary Consul of Panama for North Rhine-Westphalia .

He married Gisela Kalinowski in 1946 and has been widowed since 1992. A son results from marriage.

Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem

In 1966 Franz Josef Fieger was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Cologne Cathedral on February 22, 1966 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was treasurer of the German Lieutenancy Lieutenancy and President of the Rhenish-Westphalian Order Province. In the era of governor Johannes Binkowski and Grand Prior Franz Cardinal Hengsbach , he was Chancellor of the Order from 1981 to 1991. Hubert Rohde followed him .

He is a Grand Cross Knight of the Order and Honorary Chancellor. Fieger is an outstanding expert on the Holy Land . His wife was also a member of the order since 1968 as a commander's lady.
