Franz Josef Krafeld

Franz Josef Krafeld (born October 30, 1947 in Salzbergen ) is professor of educational science at the University of Bremen .

biography

Krafeld studied at the Pedagogical University of Westphalia-Lippe in Münster , graduating as a primary and secondary school teacher and as a qualified pedagogue . In 1976 he received his doctorate in education. In addition to his studies, he worked as a freelancer in extracurricular youth education, then from 1976 as a full-time youth education officer at the State Youth Association of North Rhine-Westphalia. Between 1978 and 1980 he was also a lecturer at the University of Duisburg . Since the end of 1979 he has been working as a university professor at the University of Bremen in the department of social affairs with a focus on youth work and professional integration.

His work on accepting youth work with right-wing youth cliques, which he then further developed into justice- oriented youth work, attracted particular attention .
