Franz Josef Stegmann

Franz Josef Stegmann (born March 7, 1930 in Langenhaslach ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and university professor .

Stegmann studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD. After completing his habilitation in Christian social studies in 1972 at the University of Bonn , he was briefly a lecturer at the Rhineland University of Education and in 1973 was appointed professor at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . From 1977 until his retirement in 1995 he held the professorship for Christian Social Studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum . In 2010 he received the Heinrich Brauns Prize .

Stegmann now lives in South Africa .
