Franz Joseph Abendanz (born 1762 or 1763; died after 1827) was a German politician, landowner and wine merchant.

Career

Abendanz was based in Wallerstein . As a representative of the Rezatkreis , he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Bavarian Estates Assembly from 1819 to 1827 . He was a member of the Ansbach Masonic Lodge Alexander zu den three Sterne . The list of members from 1806 shows that he was 43 years old at that time. So he must have been born in 1762 or 1763.

He was considered moderately liberal and personally campaigned for the introduction of the district administrator in the Bavarian Palatinate. After the city of Wallerstein had formed a rural community , his status as a city elector and deputy was lost and he left the chamber on November 24, 1827.
