Franz Joseph Nut

Franz Joseph Nuß (also: Nuss ; * February 26, 1775 in Geilenkirchen ; † July 3, 1842 ) was a German lawyer and temporarily acting mayor of the city of Mülheim am Rhein .

Life

Nuss studied law and in 1811 joined the judicial service in Mülheim am Rhein as a notary , which he carried out until his death. During the Wars of Liberation , he joined the Landwehr as an officer . From May 18, 1815 to May 26, 1837, Nuss was the second alderman of the city of Mülheim and from February 19, 1820 to December 17, 1820 he administered the mayor's office on an interim basis.

In 1839 Friedrich Wilhelm III. conferred the title of judicial council.
