Franz Krenn (politician)

Franz Krenn (born May 28, 1923 in Vienna ; † July 3, 2000 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and office manager. From 1976 to 1987 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

After compulsory school, Krenn completed an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic and from 1942 did military service during the Second World War. He returned from captivity in 1946 and was then employed by the British occupation forces.

In 1953 he became secretary of the private employees' union, rose to state secretary in 1967 and subsequently acted as vice-president of the Lower Austria Chamber of Labor from 1967 to 1985. Krenn represented the SPÖ Lower Austria from January 22nd, 1976 to November 30th, 1987 in the Lower Austrian state parliament.

He was buried in the family grave at the cemetery of the Simmering fire hall (Department 7, Ring 3, Group 7, number 107).
