Franz Kroll
Franz Kroll (born June 22, 1820 in Bromberg ; † May 28, 1877 in Berlin ) was a German classical pianist. Kroll is best known for the publication of a critical edition of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier .
life and work
Kroll was a pupil of Franz Liszt in Paris and in Weimar. From 1849 he lived in Berlin. Here he worked in 1863 and 1864 as a teacher at the Stern Conservatory .
Kroll created some piano compositions.
