Franz Lüke

Franz Lüke (born July 29, 1906 in Höxter ; † May 18, 1966 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, he learned the carpentry trade and in this profession he passed the journeyman's examination in 1923 and the master craftsman's examination in 1928. From 1928 to 1966 he owned his own cabinet maker and furniture store in Höxter. The work in the own company was only interrupted by military service and imprisonment. Before 1933, Lüke was a member of the Center Party .

He was married and had five children.

From July 21, 1958 until his death on May 18, 1966, Lüke was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in the constituency 134 Höxter. From 1945 he was councilor of the city of Höxter and from 1945 to 1964 a member of the district council of the district of Höxter .

Public offices

From November 1956 to November 1958 he was district administrator for the district of Höxter. From 1961 to 1966 he was mayor of the city of Höxter.
