Franz Leidenmuhler

Franz Leidenmühler (born April 10, 1973 in Linz ) is an Austrian lawyer , professor at the University of Linz and Linz local politician ( SPÖ ).

Life

Franz Leidenmühler studied law at the University of Linz from 1992 to 2000, where he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD. Since 1995 he has been employed at the Institute for European Law and from 1998 was University Assistant for International Law in Linz. In 2011 he completed his habilitation at the University of Linz and has since been Professor of International Law and European Law and Director of the Institute for European Law. He is the author of several academic books and publications.

He is also Vice President of the Austrian Society for European Law, a member of the Advisory Board for European Law at the BMEIA, a member of the works council for academic university staff at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, and since 2003 a member of the Linz municipal council for the SPÖ and a member of the federal management of the University's trade union.

Leidenmühler lives in Linz.
