Franz Ludwig Oehmig

Franz Ludwig Oehmig (born November 2, 1829 in Meerane ; † December 29, 1902 there ) was a German entrepreneur and conservative politician .

Live and act

The son of the fabric and linen weaver Franz Ludwig Oehmig († 1885) attended the community school in his hometown of Meerane. He worked as a manufacturer and businessman. From 1886 he was a reindeer.

Oehmig was politically active from 1867 to 1868 as a city councilor and then as a city councilor until 1877. From 1878 to 1886 he was mayor of Meerane and from 1886 commercial judge. From 1887 to 1893 he represented the 14th urban constituency in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .
