Franz Menze

Franz Menze (born August 6, 1894 in Stockelsdorf , Lübeck district , † March 18, 1973 in Nienburg (Weser) ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Franz Menze attended elementary school in Holtdorf until 1908, after which he worked in various factories in Nienburg (Weser) . He joined the SPD in 1920. In 1924 he was elected to the council of the municipality Holtdorf and in 1928 a member of the district council in the district of Nienburg. From 1945 he took over the administration of the Holtdorfer community treasury. From 1953 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district Nienburg, in the same year he also took over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of the consumer cooperative Nienburg and the surrounding area. In 1954 he was unanimously elected by the council of the municipality of Holtdorf as the municipality director.

From May 6, 1959 to June 5, 1967 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (4th and 5th electoral terms).
