Franz Ölzelt (born September 5, 1887 in Niedergrünbach , † February 1, 1963 in Hinterbrühl ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP ) and pastor of Gmünd. Ölzelt was a member of the National Council from 1923 to 1934 and a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1934 to 1938 .

After elementary school, Ölzelt attended the Stiftsgymnasium in Seitenstetten and then the alumni in St. Pölten . He was ordained a priest in 1911 and worked as a chaplain in Würmla . He later moved to Weitenfeld , Groß-Siegharts and Gmünd . In addition, from 1917, Ölzelt was secretary of the Catholic Volksbund and, from 1922, General Director of the Catholic Volksbund of the diocese of St. Pölten. Between 1924 and 1938 he was pastor in Gmünd. Ölzelt represented the Christian Social Party between November 20, 1923 and October 1, 1930 and from December 2, 1930 to February 19, 1934 in the National Council, and was then a representative during Austrofascism between November 22, 1934 and March 12, 1938 agriculture and forestry in the Lower Austrian state parliament.
