Franz Rubant

Franz Rubant (born July 31, 1896 in Vienna ; † March 7, 1963 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and accountant. From 1945 to 1949 he was a member of the Federal Council and from 1945 to 1948 chairman of the union of public servants .

Life

After primary and secondary school, Franz Rubant attended a three-class commercial college. He then worked as an accounting officer in the financial administration. In 1945 he became chairman of the Union of Public Employees . In 1948 he was succeeded by Fritz Koubek in this position. From December 19, 1945 ( fifth legislative period ) to December 5, 1949 ( sixth legislative period ), he represented the SPÖ in the Federal Council.

Rubant died on March 7, 1963 at the age of 66.
