Franz Xaver Zacherl
Franz Xaver Zacherl (officially Zächerl ; * 1772 in Munich , † September 16, 1849 in the suburb of Au ) was a Bavarian brewer, maltster and member of parliament.
Zacherl was born the son of a cook. In 1806 he became the leaseholder of the former Paulaner monastery brewery , which he acquired in 1813 with all associated goods. He continued the brewery's strong beer tradition under the name Salvator . In 1826 the Spöckmayrbräu was bought in Rosengasse.
