Franz Zeilinger

Franz Zeilinger CSsR (born September 16, 1934 in Eggenburg ) is an Austrian theologian.

Life

Since October 23, 1981 he was Franz Zehrer's successor as a full university professor for New Testament Biblical Studies at the Graz Catholic Theological Faculty and head of the Institute for New Testament Biblical Studies. From 1987 to 1989 he was Dean of the Catholic Theological Faculty in Graz. From 1991 to 1993 he was rector of the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz . From 1999 to 2001 he was the Dean of Studies at the Catholic Theological Faculty in Graz.
