Franz von Gemmingen

Franz Christoph Dietrich Joseph Anton Nikolaus von Gemmingen (* 1746 ; † 1797 ) was a German nobleman, landlord in Steinegg and Tiefenbronn and a councilor in the knightly canton of Neckar-Black Forest .

Life

He was a son of Johann Dietrich von Gemmingen (1716–1778) and Maria von Ow († 1775). He was the landlord in Steinegg and Tiefenbronn and a councilor in the knight canton of Neckar-Black Forest. He died from an unfortunate fall in the house.

His tombstone was made in 1818 by the sculptor Johann Ullrich and has been preserved in Tiefenbronn.

family

He was married to Marianne Roth von Schreckenstein († 1797). Since he had no male offspring except for a son who died young, the Steinegg branch within the Steinegg line of the barons of Gemmingen died out with him in the male line in 1797 . Two of his daughters married in the Mühlhausen branch of the same family line.
