Franziska Brychcy

Franziska Brychcy (* 1984 in Meißen ) is a German political scientist and member of the Berlin House of Representatives ( Die Linke ).

Franziska Brychcy grew up in Waltershausen and has lived in Berlin since 2003. She studied affaires européennes - political science with a German-French double master's degree at Sciences Po in Paris and at the Free University of Berlin .

Brychcy is chairwoman of the district association DIE LINKE Steglitz-Zehlendorf. She ran for election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2016 in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf 2 constituency and was elected to the House of Representatives via the state list.

In June 2020, Brychcy ran for the co-chairmanship of the left-wing parliamentary group in the House of Representatives, but was defeated in the vote against Anne Helm .
