Franziska Müller-Rech (born July 16, 1985 in Bonn ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 .

Life

Franziska Müller-Rech grew up in Bonn's Musikerviertel and has three older half-brothers. After graduating from the Archbishop's School of Our Lady in Bonn in 2003, she studied at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (specializing in insurance ). She successfully completed an apprenticeship as an insurance clerk and a degree in business administration (FH). Her father and two brothers already work in the insurance industry. Before moving into the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament, she worked as a team manager in customer service for company pension schemes at Talanx .

Müller-Rech lives in the musicians' quarter in Bonn.

In 2006 she joined the Free Democrats while studying. In 2015 she became deputy FDP district chairwoman. Since March 2018, she has succeeded Joachim Stamp as district chairwoman of the Bonn FDP . Also in March 2018, she was elected to the Cologne District Executive Committee at the district party conference in Leverkusen .

In Bonn, Müller-Rech belongs to the school committee of the city of Bonn as a competent citizen and has been spokesperson for school policy there since 2014. She also deals with the subject of schools in the FDP parliamentary group and is spokesperson for school policy. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , Müller-Rech received a mandate for her party's state list. She ran in the state elections in 2012 and 2017 in the constituency of Bonn I , where she received 5.5% (2012) and 9.8% (2017) of the first votes.
