building

The monastery complex on Heiliggeistgasse, built by Giovanni Spazzo the Younger in 1587–88 , was retained in its structural inventory. Since 1857, the Stiftsschänke of the Heiliggeist Foundation, in which the monastery's own wines from the Wachau are served, has been moved from the hospital to its current location in the former monastery. A part of the monastery building has been used by the Order of the Marist Fathers since 1978 ; among other things, the telephone counseling, which the Marists helped with, is housed there.

The current votive church there goes back to the monastery church built in 1619. After the secularization it was first used as a storage room, the high altar was dismantled and in 1823 in the parish church “St. Trinity ”in Grainet . Restored from 1857 to 1864 with major interventions in the old buildings in the Romanizing style. From 1963 to 1965 it was shortened by Hans Döllgast to widen the road . The Renaissance cloister is remarkable.

The St. Anna Chapel with a ribbed vault was built in 1588 by Leonard Uttner . Inside it is decorated with Renaissance frescoes from 1590. Today it serves as an exhibition room for the Passau Art Association .
