The Franziskanerstraße in the district center Düren ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a city road . It is located in the city center within the Düren city fortifications .

The street begins at the Victor-Gollancz-Straße crossing and ends in Günther-Peill-Straße.
On the north side of the street is the listed Marienkirche , on the opposite side the primary school “Peschschule” and at the western end the Leopold-Hoesch-Museum . There are no other buildings.
history
The street is named after the former Franciscan monastery, today's Marienkirche. The council gave the street its current name on February 1, 1892. The breakthrough through the city wall to Philippstrasse happened in 1896.
