Eoien or Ehoien ( ancient Greek Ἠοῖαι Ēhoíai ), also known under the title catalog of women or women Catalog ( Κατάλογος γυναικῶν ) is preserved in fragments epic , which the Greek poet Hesiod attributed. The genealogies of Greek heroes, the heroines, are presented in the form of a catalog . The individual sections begin with the words ἢ οἵη , from Greek “or” and οἷος “like for example”. Only the first heroine is only introduced with οἵη . The name of the work, which was quoted with the words ἐν ταῖς Ἠοίαις "in the E (h) oien" or similar expressions, was derived from the beginnings of these sections in ancient times.
