Frauke Eigen

Frauke Eigen (born September 18, 1969 in Aurich ) is a German photographer and artist .

Life

Frauke Eigen was born in Aurich in 1969. After graduating from the Theo Koch School in Grünberg (Hesse) in 1988, she studied photography at the Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design and received the “Higher National Diploma” and the “Advanced Level in Media and Production”, England . From 1993 to 1996 she studied fine arts at the Royal College of Art in London , where she obtained a “Master of Art” degree. Afterwards she was a teacher at Queen's Gate School, London, as well as visiting professor at various colleges. She has been represented by Eric Franck Fine Art since 1997 and works as a freelance artist in Berlin , where she also lives.

Works

In addition to the many trips she has made in Germany, Frauke Eigen traveled to crisis areas such as the former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan, and most recently to Mexico.
