Fraunhofer Vision Alliance
The Fraunhofer Vision Alliance is an amalgamation of institutions of the Fraunhofer Society on the subject of image processing and machine vision . The central office is in Fürth . It is the visible representation outside and serves as the first point of contact for potential customers and customers in all questions.
activity
The Fraunhofer Vision Alliance bundles the know-how of the Fraunhofer institutes in the field of machine vision , image processing and optical measurement and testing technology. With the clear focus on applied research , according to the company's own statement, the common goal is to make new developments applicable under industrial conditions. The partners involved in the alliance exchange knowledge and experience with each other and also cooperate on projects.
The focus is on optical measurement and automatic inspection for quality assurance using various test techniques such as 3D measurement technology, X-ray measurement technology and heat flow thermography . The alliance was founded in 1997 and comprises (as of April 2020) 16 Fraunhofer institutes.
In addition, Fraunhofer Vision regularly designs and organizes technology congresses and practical seminars on current topics as well as linking marketing and PR measures such as joint trade fair appearances or specialist publications.
