Cover design

The album cover is a color photo showing two men. At the bottom left, someone who keeps his gaze directed downwards, crouches on the floor and wears a red painter's suit with spots of white paint . On the right side stands the other, who also keeps his gaze on the floor, leans one hand on the left shoulder of the man on the left and wears a white painter's suit with splashes of red paint. Both wear hoods . In the upper left corner you can see the words "Mach One & Darn's" Freakshow.

reception

In an interview with Zeit online , the lyricist Uwe Kolbe described the album as "tasteless". He went into particular on the texts "that you would not swallow while awake". As a concrete example, he cited "all of sexism, which of course is often overturned and ironically broken". For him, this kind of provocation “crossed the line to tastelessness”.

Magda from bumbanet.de wrote in her review of Freakshow that she especially expected “wit, flow and in any case twisted comparisons that make [you] shake your head” from this album and “all of this was definitely fulfilled. Anyone who knows them will love them both and maybe this feedback will spur MachOne on to publish the masterpiece part 2 ”.
