Fred Crane (musician)
Fred Crane (* around 1930 in Greenville , South Carolina ; † June 10, 1985 in Ruidoso , New Mexico ) was an American jazz pianist and arranger .
Live and act
Crane worked (as Freddie Crane ) from the early 1950s, first in New Orleans in the Al Belletto Quintet, then in Los Angeles for several years with the bandleader and clarinetist Al Hirt , with whom he also wrote the title "Creole Clarinet". He was also involved in recordings by Pee Wee Spitelera and the Doc Severinsen Orchestra ( Night Journey . Epic 1975). In 1985, Cram recorded another solo piano album ( Piano ), with interpretations of standards such as " Georgia on My Mind ", " On Green Dolphin Street ", " I Should Care ", " My One and Only Love " and " Willow. " Weep for Me ”. He arranged fener for Severinsen, Norman Jay and Bugs Henderson .
