Fred Keller (politician)
Frederick B. Keller (born October 23, 1965 in Page , Arizona ) is an American politician ( Republican Party ). Since June 3, 2019, he has been a member of the State of Pennsylvania in the United States House of Representatives . From 2011 to 2019, Keller was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives .
Life
Fred Keller grew up in Sunbury , Pennsylvania and graduated from Shikellamy High School in 1984 . After graduating from school, Keller worked in a wood processing company. In 1990 he got into the real estate business. Fred Keller has been married since 1985 and has two grown children and two grandchildren. He lives in Kreamer .
In 2010, Fred Keller applied for the seat of the 85th constituency in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives after the previous owner Russ Fairchild announced his retirement from politics. In the following elections in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, Keller was always confirmed in his office; in 2016 unopposed. In 2019, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System . After Congressman Tom Marino resigned on January 23, 2019, Keller announced his candidacy for his successor. He won the Republican primary on March 2, 2019. In the subsequent election on May 21, 2019, he prevailed against the democratic candidate Marc Friedenberg with 68.08 percent of the vote.
On May 22, 2019, Fred Keller resigned from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he was replaced by David H. Rowe. He was officially sworn into office on June 3, 2019. In the House of Representatives, Fred Keller represents the twelfth congressional electoral district of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Committee on Education and Labor and the Committee on Oversight and Reform .
