Fred Rosner
Fred Rosner (born October 3, 1935 in Berlin ) is an American medical historian and medical ethicist.
Life
Fred Rosner and his brother were saved from the persecution of Jews in Germany to England on a Kindertransport in 1939 . Rosner moved to the USA, studied medicine and was one of the first to graduate from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York City, founded in 1955 .
He became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians , worked as a hematologist, and became Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Queens Hospital Center . Rosner specialized in questions of medical ethics and published writings by and about Moses Maimonides .
In 2018, the Queen's Theater Hornchurch in London integrated a video interview with Fred and Edith Rosner into a production about the Kindertransport .
